The custom of sending gift baskets to friends and acquaintances is
not a new practice. Since recorded history began, baskets filled
with produce and gifts (and even people) have played an important
part in our socio-economic development.
In days gone by, baskets provided a means to carry a variety of
goods... even people. The first chariots were little more than baskets
on wheels. Moses was placed in a rattan basket and sent for his
first ride down the Nile, and the Apostle Paul was lowered in a basket
out of Damascus (was this the first elevator).
Fast forward to the 21st. century and baskets are now used as
containers to hold delectable goodies. Today,
our famous gift baskets
arrive crammed full of original Montana creations. Mouthwatering
delights sure to please anyone on your gift list. Enjoy our
tongue-in-cheek romp through history as we offer stories and quotes from
famous people...

dare I say the word? -- religion. Then I go out at night to paint
the stars, and send everyone I know a gift basket."
